Rei has a variety of passions, including but not limited to: consulting, nonprofit work, molecular biology, lacrosse, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. Strategic planning is his go-to plan, whether that is to create a financial analysis tool for his nonprofit client, perform dozens of DNA extractions on morphologically unidentifiable corals, play defense against a 6’2 midfielder, or determine the best cross country route to take on a 10 mile hike. He has experience with a variety of programs, research techniques, and consulting skills, including: MacLade, STATA, PHYLIP, polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, CTAB and Qiagen DNA extractions, board member analysis, and of course… Excel.
